Hair Tips For Summer

It’s that time of year… Your hair is sun damaged, the humidity is 100% and all you want to do is put your hair in a baseball cap. Well we have come up with a few transformative tips on how you can accomplish that polished look you’ve been hoping for all summer.
How to effortlessly style your hair when the humidity is 100% in New Orleans

  2. Get a brazilian blowout treatment - It’s been a long summer, you deserve it, and your hair will thank you. A brazilian blowout helps minimize frizz and promotes intense shine.
  3. Use Olaplex styling creme - Another awesome way you can eliminate frizz is by repairing and strengthening your hair by using Olaplex Number 6 bond smoother. It is a leave-in reparative styling cream that rebuilds, strengthens and protects.
  4. Apply a protective layer over your hair with styling products

Hair Care Tips for Healthy Hair

No matter what your hair type, there are easy steps you can follow to help keep your hair looking and feeling healthy and beautiful!

Don’t Brush Wet Hair
Wet hair is weaker and more susceptible to breakage, so avoid brushing your hair until it is mostly dry. Try combing your hair while you’re still in the shower, using a wide-tooth comb. It’s also best to wait until your hair is 60%-80% dry before you start blow drying it. Try patting your hair with a towel before blow drying.

Use Lower Settings on Hair Dryer
When using a hair dryer and other styling tools like curling irons, use a low setting to help prevent damage. Also make sure to use your hair dryer’s attachments to create distance between your hair and the hot metal in the dryer, which can burn your hair.

Don’t Condition Your Roots
To avoid weighing your hair down, apply conditioner only from mid-lengths to ends. If your hair is extremely dry, try a deep conditioner: apply conditioner to clean, damp hair, put on a plastic cap, and wait 15-30 minutes before rinsing.

Rinse Conditioned Hair with Cold Water
After conditioning your hair, rinse it with cold water, which helps avoid frizz by sealing the cuticle, making it harder for moisture to enter the hair follicle.

Trim Long Hair Frequently
Longer hair requires more care. Frequent trims (every 6-8 weeks) and conditioning the ends every other day will help to prevent your hair from drying out.
